About Mark
Mark Newton is counsel to Emond Harnden, a role he has held since April 1, 2014, and is one of the most noted lawyers in Canada in pensions, benefits, and compensation law, with over 30 years of experience in pension law and policy across the country. He established the National Pensions & Benefits Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, which he chaired, and founded the Osgoode Certificate Program in pension law. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Bar Association and the CBA Financial Services Corporation, chaired the CBA's National Sections Council, and has spoken at the World Pension Summit and the China Pension Forum. He has been ranked by Chambers and L'Expert.
