About Mark

Mark Wiseman brings more than two decades of senior in-house and General Counsel experience to Patterson Law, having led legal portfolios for major Atlantic Canadian private-sector organizations and the Nova Scotia public sector. His background spans environmental and regulatory compliance, corporate governance, franchising, mergers and acquisitions, procurement, and technology implementation, including privacy modernization, cybersecurity, and AI governance initiatives. At Patterson Law, his practice emphasizes corporate and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, governance, and regulatory compliance. Wiseman earned his LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 2004 and holds a Master of Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He received the 2017 Lexpert Rising Stars Award recognizing Canada's leading lawyers under 40, and volunteers on boards for health and non-profit organizations while coaching youth sports in Pictou County.
