Mark Gustafson is a partner at JFK Law's Victoria office practising Aboriginal and administrative law with a focus on Crown consultation, natural resource law, and constitutional litigation. He regularly advises First Nations on regulatory hearings, environmental assessments, and impact benefit agreement negotiations, and has represented clients including the Mikisew Cree First Nation in a UNESCO petition over Wood Buffalo National Park. Mark swore his barristers and solicitors oath at Mission Point in Kitkatla, BC with members of the Gitxaała community, and provides legal services through Gustafson Shockey Law Corporation. He holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. summa cum laude from Columbia University, and is a member of the British Columbia, Alberta, and Nunavut law societies.
