About Mark

Mark G. Baker left a large law firm in 1989 to found Baker & Company as a boutique alternative, aiming to support owners and managers of privately held companies. Over the decades, Mark has become a trusted advisor to presidents and senior managers of more than 400 private companies and has mentored many young lawyers who began their careers at the firm. Mark is a Law Society of Ontario Certified Specialist in Corporate & Commercial Law and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1981. Practice areas include real estate, employment, expropriation, and wills and estates law, along with membership in the Ontario Expropriation Association. Credentials include an LL.M. from Cornell University and both an LL.B. and a B.A. from Queen's University.
