About Marijo

Marijo Coates is a founding partner of Deeth Williams Wall, practicing intellectual property law with an emphasis on trademark licensing and protection. She advises clients on commercial transactions involving intellectual property, including licensing and merchandising agreements, distribution and supply agreements, and co-packing agreements. Marijo manages the IP portfolios of clients in Canada and abroad, working with businesses in industries ranging from cosmetics and food to chemicals and software, and she handles the prosecution and enforcement of their trademark, copyright, and confidential information rights. She is admitted to the Bar of Ontario and the Bar of Nova Scotia and is a registered Canadian Trademark Agent, holding a B.A. and LL.B. from Dalhousie University.
