About Maria
Maria Henheffer is counsel at Brenton Kean, practising in litigation, insurance, personal injury, labour and employment, and Aboriginal law. She earned a BA from St. Thomas University in 1977 and an LLB from the University of New Brunswick in 1980. She was admitted to the Newfoundland Bar in 1981 and the New Brunswick Bar in 1989, and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2004. Maria has extensive trial and administrative law experience, appearing before courts at all levels in Atlantic Canada as well as the Supreme Court of Canada and numerous administrative tribunals. She belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of New Brunswick, and the Saint John Law Society, and is a former president of the New Brunswick Law Society.
