About Donald
Donald Keenan is a partner at Brenton Kean focusing on civil litigation, insurance law, and labour and employment law. Before law school he worked for many years at Lantic Sugar, where he served as chief negotiator for a union bargaining committee and chaired its health and safety committee. He earned a business administration degree from UNB Saint John in 1988 and a law degree from UNB in 1995, and was called to the bar in New Brunswick in 1996, in Prince Edward Island in 2016, and in Nova Scotia in 2017. His practice covers insurance defence and civil, commercial, labour, and employment matters, and he has represented clients before courts in all three provinces as well as various tribunals. He represents a leading casualty insurer across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, and has acted for clients in the construction, aquaculture, and IT industries.
