About Maria

Maria has been part of the Harte Law team for more than twenty years, with a practice devoted entirely to medical malpractice on behalf of individuals and families across Canada who have suffered serious medical harm. She is a past president of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and currently serves as Treasurer and a council member of the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto. Maria contributes to legal scholarship as well, having published on medical malpractice in the Advocates' Quarterly and the Annual Review of Civil Litigation, and she regularly speaks to legal and medical audiences on the subject. She also teaches in the Trial Advocacy program at Osgoode Hall Law School, helping train new courtroom lawyers.
