Marcia McNeil is a Partner at Crawford Munroe Thomson LLP concentrating on labour, employment, and human rights law, representing employers across the private and public sectors, particularly municipalities, police services boards, and technology companies, on collective agreements, arbitration, labour relations, employment standards, human rights, privacy, administrative law, and BC Police Act matters. McNeil heads the firm's Victoria office and has served as Chair of the BC Industry Training Appeal Board and Vice-Chair of the Community Care and Assisted Living Appeal Board; in 2014 McNeil authored a government report on employee misconduct investigations that led to provincial policy reforms. McNeil earned a BA with distinction from Carleton University in 1985 and an LL.B. from Queen's University in 1988, clerked at the BC Court of Appeal, and later served as senior counsel at the BC Labour Relations Board and with the Public Service Employee Relations Commission before co-founding Sheen Arnold McNeil in 2013, which joined Crawford Munroe Thomson in 2018. McNeil is a bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia for the County of Victoria (2025) and belongs to the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers, the Victoria Bar Association, and the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, among other groups.
