About Marcela
Marcela Shockey was called to the bar in June 2014 and has since focused on real estate law, including residential and commercial conveyancing, nominee (bare trust) agreements, private contracts of purchase and sale, independent legal advice, subdivisions, and covenants. She previously represented clients before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, the Human Rights and Social Security Tribunals, and the Residential Tenancy Branch, assisting with disability appeals, WorkSafeBC matters, and Employment Standards. She holds a Juris Doctor (2013) and a Bachelor of Commerce (2008) from the University of British Columbia, and is a past director and secretary of the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Chamber of Commerce.
