About Dorie-Anne
Dorie-Anne Leggett began practicing law at Cassady in 1989, was a partner between 2000 and 2021, and has served as Associate Counsel since 2022. Her practice covers business law, commercial banking, commercial real estate, and wills, estates, and trusts, representing individuals, corporations, commercial lenders, and large institutions. She started in law at sixteen as a legal secretary, obtained a double major in Economics and Sociology from the University of Victoria in 1985 graduating in the top 3% of her class, and earned her law degree from UBC in 1988. She acts as general corporate counsel for over six hundred companies and partnerships and advises commercial lending institutions and clients on estate planning. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce, and a past director of the Douglas College Foundation and the Royal City Rotary Club.
