Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionKim Anderson was appointed King's Counsel in 2013 and focuses a practice on banking and finance and insolvency and restructuring law, leading the firm's Insolvency and Restructuring Group and routinely advising lenders, debtors, and insolvency practitioners, with particular emphasis on acting for court-appointed officers. As a former municipal councillor, Kim also advises on municipal governance, planning law, and regulation, and holds a Q.Arb designation, frequently sitting as an arbitrator on commercial matters. Kim was counsel for the successful appellant in Housen v. Nikolaisen, the leading Canadian case on the standard of appellate review in the Supreme Court of Canada, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Insolvency and Restructuring Law since 2011 and Banking and Finance Law since 2013.
