Janine Lavoie is a partner at McKercher LLP's Saskatoon office representing financially distressed companies, lenders, and court officers in restructuring and insolvency proceedings, foreclosures, receiverships, CCAA proceedings, plans of arrangement, and oppression remedy actions. Her litigation experience spans construction, energy, transportation, and franchise disputes across multiple Canadian courts. She joined McKercher in 2013 after seven years at another major Saskatchewan firm and became partner in 2016. Janine earned bachelor's degrees in Science and in Criminology, magna cum laude, from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan in 2002.
