About Lynda
Lynda Cassels focuses her practice on the legal issues families face during major life transitions, including separation and divorce, marriage and cohabitation, deciding to have a child, and the death of a loved one. Her work includes separation and cohabitation agreements, relative and adult adoptions, wills and incapacity planning, and estate probate and administration, with a particular interest in fertility law, including surrogacy and donor agreements. She received her law degree from the University of Victoria in 1998, is accredited by the Law Society of British Columbia as a family law mediator, and is trained in collaborative family practice. She has presented at continuing legal education programs on fertility and family law and served on the executives of the Elder Law and Family Law (Victoria) sections of the Canadian Bar Association.
