About Lucy

Lucy Diale Mewanu is a Senior Associate at Osuji & Smith. Lucy earned an Honours Bachelor's degree in Health & Society (Cum Laude) from York University in Toronto, completing field research on ageism, and later a Common Law degree from the University of Buea in Cameroon. Lucy was called to the Alberta Bar in 2021 and moved to Calgary in 2018, volunteering with the Women's Centre of Calgary and Calgary Legal Guidance. Lucy has represented clients before Alberta's Provincial Court, Court of Queen's Bench and Court of Appeal, practising family law, employment law, civil litigation, personal injury, wills and estates, corporate law and criminal law, and speaks English and intermediate French. Lucy is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Alberta, the Central Alberta Bar Society and Alberta Women Lawyers.
