Charles earned a Bachelor of Laws from Imo State University in Nigeria (magna cum laude, 2009) and a Barrister-at-Law qualification from the Nigerian Law School in 2010, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2010 and the Alberta Bar in 2014. Charles holds an honorary Doctor of Laws from Mount Royal University and has been recognized among Canada's Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers.
