Lorraine Land is a partner practising Aboriginal rights and environmental law, advising First Nations and Inuit clients across Canada, particularly in the North. She appears before courts and tribunals on land claims implementation, self-government negotiation, Aboriginal consultation, impacts and benefits agreements, and energy project reviews. Lorraine holds a Master's in Environmental Studies focused on Aboriginal co-management regimes and a certificate in alternative dispute resolution, and has worked in government, the not-for-profit sector, and private practice. She is a recipient of Osgoode Hall Law School's Gold Key Alumni Award and serves as adjunct faculty there, and co-edited the fifth edition of the widely used Aboriginal Law Handbook. She belongs to the Ontario, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut bars.
