About Lorne
Lorne Kenneth Welwood is Associate Counsel at Kuhn LLP, practicing primarily in business law, wills and trusts, adoptions, and charities. With more than 50 years of experience, he has advised clients on business and real estate acquisitions, shareholder agreements, corporate reorganizations, and estate planning and administration, and assists charities and non-profits with incorporation, charitable status applications, and governance matters. As an adoptive parent and grandparent, he has served as a volunteer and former executive director of a licensed adoption agency, informing his niche adoption practice. He earned his B.A. (1965) and LL.B. (1968) from the University of British Columbia and was called to the BC bar in 1969.
