About Shane
Shane Rutledge is an experienced solicitor with a practice based in Chilliwack and Abbotsford, focusing on corporate and business transactions, commercial lending, real estate transactions, and wills and estate planning. Rutledge works with clients ranging from individuals and small business startups to large institutional lenders, assisting with business purchases and sales, contracts, incorporations, shareholder agreements, and corporate reorganizations, and acts for both lenders and borrowers in commercial lending matters. Rutledge completed a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Waterloo in 2003, earned an LLB from the University of British Columbia in 2007, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2008. Before joining Cherkowski Marsden LLP, Rutledge practised for 18 years in the Fraser Valley, first as an associate and then as a partner, and is also a lieutenant with the Harrison Hot Springs Fire Department.
