About Lorena

Lorena Kohlruss is Litigation Counsel at DWF Canada in Vancouver. Called to the Alberta Bar in 1999 and the British Columbia Bar in 2014, she holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Wales and a B.A. from the University of Calgary. She joined the firm in 2019 with more than 20 years of insurance defence litigation experience as both outside and in-house counsel, having practised 16 years in Calgary before relocating to BC in 2014. Her work covers commercial and property losses, liability coverage disputes involving directors and officers, errors and omissions and professional liability, and construction claims, with trial experience at the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of British Columbia as well as Alberta courts.
