About Lloyd
Lloyd Hoffer is a partner at KMB Law who leads the firm's Litigation Group. He has conducted civil litigation in the trial and appellate courts of three Canadian jurisdictions, as well as administrative proceedings before federal and provincial regulatory tribunals. His case experience includes defending chiropractors and physicians against malpractice allegations, prosecuting and defending franchise disputes on behalf of franchisors and franchisees, handling investment services and mining claims, defending lawyers against negligence allegations, and litigating copyright matters before the Federal Court and the Copyright Board of Canada. He has also represented Canada's first nations communities in disputes with industry and government over resource development. Lloyd was called to the Ontario bar in 1990 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. (Hons) from Queen's University. He is recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, Chambers Canada, and Best Lawyers for franchise law and personal injury litigation.
