About Edwin
Edwin Boeve grew up in Cobourg and decided in high school to become a lawyer, drawn to questions of whether a person's rights had been respected by police rather than simple guilt or innocence. Edwin earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1993 with high distinction, then graduated from the University of Toronto's law faculty in 1997 while also completing a master's degree in social work. The practice covers a wide range of criminal matters, including impaired and dangerous driving, mischief, assault, theft, fraud, sexual assault, and drug offences, with clients represented before various tribunals and the Federal Court on regulatory and immigration appeal matters. Edwin has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada, and is a sole practitioner licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, practising in affiliation with Aitken Robertson Professional Corporation.
