About Lesley
Lesley Burke is a partner at Beaton Burke Young LLP practicing family law. She began her career as a criminal defence lawyer before switching fields, giving her substantial litigation experience with high-conflict and complex family cases, including ones involving criminal charges or domestic violence. She also advises clients on mediation and other lower-cost dispute resolution options when appropriate, aiming for outcomes that let families move forward in a positive, child-focused way. She takes on a limited number of files as a parenting coordinator, helping families with children work through co-parenting challenges. She holds a JD from the University of Toronto (2009) and a BA in political science with honours from McMaster University (2005), and was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2010.
