About Erica
Erica Tait was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008 and has practiced family law exclusively since 2013, advising on divorce and separation, property equalization, spousal and child support, custody and parenting arrangements, and domestic contracts. She spent her early career in corporate commercial litigation at a large multinational firm, and now draws on that background when handling cases with complex financial and property issues that touch on business, tax and trusts. Erica prefers to resolve matters through negotiated settlement where possible, but she is a determined litigator when court is necessary, having appeared at every level of court in Ontario as well as in Alberta and Nova Scotia. She is a member of the Advocates' Society, the Ontario Bar Association and Collaborative Divorce Toronto, has served on the Advocates' Society's Family Law Group executive committee, and currently sits on its Bench and Bar Committee.
