About Les

Les Chiang is an associate in Stewart McKelvey's Halifax office, focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, corporate and personal tax planning, securities, competition and commercial matters. He has supported private and public companies in industries such as manufacturing, retail, energy, construction, insurance and fisheries, assisting with transactions, regulatory compliance and competition law filings. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2026, after earning a Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law in 2025 and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta in 2016. Les previously co-chaired the Dalhousie Asian Law Students Association.
