About Leah

Leah Unruh (formerly Klassen) grew up in the small Manitoba towns of Elm Creek and Morden, completed her undergraduate studies in Brandon, and attended law school at Robson Hall. She articled at the Legal Help Centre, was called to the Bar in Manitoba, and was later also called to the Bar in Ontario, where she practiced family and fertility law in Ajax and Toronto for three years before returning to Manitoba. She now practices primarily in family law, wills and powers of attorney, and real estate, and is trained in Collaborative Family Law, a team-based approach that seeks to keep matters out of court. She currently serves as a Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba and as a board member of Collaborative Professionals of Canada, and volunteers with the Community Legal Education Association.
