About Gerrit
Gerrit Theule grew up in and lives in Winnipeg's Wolseley neighbourhood and is a former Bencher of the Law Society of Manitoba. He serves as Vice-Chair of the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba's board and has held past leadership roles with the Manitoba Bar Association's Wills & Estates Section, Shakespeare in the Ruins, and the Laura Secord School parent council. He co-instructs the Wills and Succession course at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law and is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg. His practice focuses on estate probate and administration, wills, elder and mental health law including committeeships, real estate law, and technology and entertainment law for musicians, authors, and publishing companies. He was an opera singer before becoming a lawyer and belongs to several bar and civil liberties associations.
