About Leah
Leah Baxter practises family law at Kirk Montoute Dawson LLP, focusing on divorce and separation, parenting issues, division of family property, and child and spousal support. Before joining the firm she practised family law at a mid-sized Ontario firm, assisting clients through both alternative dispute resolution and litigation, and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2022 before her Alberta admission in 2026. She earned Canadian and American law degrees from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2021 and a BA from the University of Waterloo in 2018. During law school she worked with a child protection lawyer in Michigan and assisted clients at a Detroit-based family law legal aid clinic.
