About Lauren

Lauren Pearson is a partner and civil litigator at Bishop & McKenzie focused on commercial and employment matters, including bankruptcy and insolvency, receiverships, CCAA proceedings, shareholder disputes, construction law, and collections, as well as employment contracts, terminations, disability accommodation, and human rights complaints. Lauren's client representation extends across every level of the Alberta courts, as well as before the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal and the Canadian Labour Standards Board. Before joining Bishop & McKenzie, Lauren practised in the employment and litigation group of an international law firm. She holds a BFA from the University of Alberta and a JD from the University of Saskatchewan College of Law, where she won the National Sopinka Cup Trial Advocacy Moot and an individual trial advocacy award, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2013.
