About Lauren
Lauren Garvie is an associate at Carbert Waite LLP, joining the firm in 2021 after practising at a regional Calgary firm. She maintains a general litigation practice advising on contractual disputes, construction matters, employment law, and estate administration and litigation, and has represented clients before the Court of Appeal, Court of King's Bench, Court of Justice, and development and subdivision appeal authorities. She obtained her JD from the University of Calgary in 2018, receiving the Bishop & McKenzie Centennial Prize for a high standard of performance in civil procedure, and holds a BA from the University of Calgary (2015) and a BA from Dalhousie University (2011). She was part of a team that successfully overturned a development permit denial in Landry v Rocky View County, 2025 ABCA 34.
