About Lauren

Lauren Bernardi is the managing partner and a workplace investigator at Bernardi Human Resource Law, which she founded in 1995 to provide proactive employment law and HR advisory services. She advises employers in both the public and private sectors, with a particular niche assisting universities, municipalities, and police, fire, and emergency services. Lauren conducts complex workplace investigations involving harassment and discrimination, and has led development of the firm's psychologically safe workplace training and the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. She developed the Workplace Investigation Certificate Program with HRPA and co-chairs Osgoode's Workplace Mental Health Law certificate program. Lauren holds a B.A. in Psychology from Laurentian University and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, has been practicing law since 1992, and is the author of Powerful Employment Policies.
