About Alison
Alison Renton is a lawyer and workplace investigator whose practice centres on sophisticated workplace investigations, with a particular focus on harassment and discrimination. She also resolves workplace conflict through mediation and provides HR management, employee, and human rights advisory services, along with training on investigations, accommodation and respectful workplaces. Called to the Ontario bar in 1993, she has attended hundreds of hearings and mediations both as counsel and as a former Vice-chair of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, where she issued more than 600 written and reported decisions. Since joining the firm, she has built an investigation practice serving private and public employers across the country, taking her as far afield as northern Alberta, northern Ontario and Nunavut. She holds a B.A. (Hons.) in English Literature from Queen's University and an LL.B. from the University of Windsor.
