About Laura
Laura Scott is an associate in Osler's Regulatory, Indigenous and Environmental group in Calgary, where she advises on issues affecting energy and natural resource projects. She has appeared in proceedings before the Canada Energy Regulator, the Alberta Utilities Commission, the Alberta Energy Regulator, the British Columbia Utilities Commission, and both the Alberta Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Her work includes securing regulatory approvals for energy projects, counselling clients on emerging policy developments, and representing regulated utilities in tariff disputes, along with advising on obligations owed to Indigenous groups. Laura earned her law degree with honours from the Australian National University in 2014 and later completed a Master of Laws in natural resources, energy and environmental law at the University of Calgary.
