About Laura
Laura Onia practices family and civil law, working to understand her clients' circumstances so she can advise them toward their long-term interests, whether through mediation, arbitration, or litigation. She earned her J.D. from the University of Calgary Law School in 2020 and a Bachelor of Arts with first class honours from the University of Calgary in 2013, and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2021. During law school she was a caseworker with Student Legal Assistance, and she continues to volunteer with Calgary Legal Guidance, the Women's Centre, and Student Legal Assistance, where she is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, and serves on the Board of the Association of Women Lawyers.
