About Laura

Laura Dowsley is an associate in Cunningham Swan's litigation group. She holds a Master of Arts in Critical Disability Studies from York University and obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall at York University, being called to the bar in 2016. Before joining Cunningham Swan in 2022, she worked for both the provincial and federal governments, including the Ontario Attorney General. She chairs the Ontario Bar Association's Insurance Law Section and practises life and health insurance defence, municipal insurance defence, and commercial real estate litigation.
