About Larry

Larry Keown has practised with Devry Smith Frank LLP since 1997, litigating commercial disputes, real estate matters, and employment issues that include landlord and tenant disputes, mortgage and title insurance litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency, wrongful dismissal, oppression remedies, franchise disputes, and construction lien claims. He completed his honours degree at Brandon University and his law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School, articling at the firm before his call to the bar in 1997 and becoming a partner in 2003. For more than a decade Larry has served as the firm's Managing Partner. His clients include major banks, lenders, title insurers, trustees in bankruptcy, receivers, employers, and commercial landlords and tenants, and he has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court of Canada, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal, as well as tribunals including the Financial Services Commission and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
