About Larissa
Larissa Just grew up in Red Deer and completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan) in 2018, with a research thesis on the relationship between psychosomatic symptoms and self-reported sexual assault. She volunteered with the Kelowna Halfway House Society, assisting individuals transitioning out of incarceration. She earned her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2023, where she was awarded the Dean's Course Prize for Criminal Process and placed on the Dean's List. During law school she worked with the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies on prison reform, conducted Charter-violation research with a Kamloops appellate lawyer, and assisted at the Thompson Rivers University Community Legal Clinic. She joined Advocate Law as a summer student in 2021 and was called to the Alberta bar in July 2024, and has worked on complex drug trafficking, sentencing, and murder files.
