About David

David Manning, K.C., is a partner at Johnston Ming Manning LLP who has practised law with the firm for 50 years, now focusing on commercial transactions, corporate law, construction law, and real estate. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary and earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta in 1973, articling with the firm (then known as Holmes Crowe Power) and becoming a partner in 1976. He was appointed King's Counsel in 1988. Dave was inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011 for his contributions to the hockey community, including as a coach, a member of the World Junior Championship Host Committee, and president of the Red Deer Athletic Association.
