About Kyle

Kyle Shimon joined Emond Harnden in 2018 and has practised labour and employment law since 2014. He has advocated for clients before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Federal Court of Appeal. He takes a proactive approach to employee relations, guiding employers on managerial best practices, workplace policy development, and employment agreements, while also defending employers in wrongful dismissal actions, human rights complaints, and other disputes when they arise. He advises employers in the defence sector and other industries. Born and raised in Ottawa, he received his Juris Doctor from Queen's University in 2014, after studying philosophy at the University of Ottawa. He is a member of the County of Carleton Law Association.
