Kurt W. Anders opened his law office on Merivale Road in 1973 under the sign 'Barrister, Solicitor & Notary Public' and has practised as a general sole practitioner for over 50 years, advising individuals, corporations, and institutions on real estate, wills and estates, civil litigation, family law, and corporate and commercial law. The firm was known over the years as Anders, Young, Strong & Jonah and later Anders, Roloff & Jonah before his daughter Katrina joined him in 2008. In October 2020, Kurt and Katrina moved the firm to the corner of Merivale and West Hunt Club Road. Fluent in English and German, Kurt is a former President of the German-Canadian Business Association, the German Language School in Ottawa, and the Amberwood Golf & Country Club.
