About Anders Law

Anders Law is a general practice law firm in Ottawa, founded in 1973 when Kurt Anders opened a law office on Merivale Road as a barrister, solicitor and notary public. Kurt Anders built a general practice over the following decades, advising clients in real estate, wills and estates, family law, civil litigation, and corporate and commercial law. Katrina Anders joined the firm in 2008 after earning an honours degree in political science from the University of Ottawa, an advanced degree in international relations from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Aix en Provence, an M.B.A. from the Ecole Superieure de Gestion in Paris, and a Common Law degree from the University of Ottawa, and after being called to the Ontario Bar in 2007. Over the years the firm also operated as Anders, Young, Strong & Jonah and later as Anders, Roloff & Jonah, before returning to the Anders Law name following Murray Young's retirement and Marylynn Strong's passing in 2020.

The firm now practices from the corner of Merivale Road and West Hunt Club Road in Ottawa, a move made in October 2020 after decades on Merivale Road itself. Kurt Anders provides services in English and German, and Katrina Anders is fully bilingual in English and French. The firm serves individuals and businesses. The practice covers real estate, wills and estates, family law, civil litigation, corporate and commercial law, and notarial services.
