About Krysta

Krysta Ostwald, KC, has practiced family law exclusively for more than 25 years and now focuses primarily on acting as a mediator and arbitrator in family law disputes, while also preparing pre-nuptial, cohabitation, and post-nuptial agreements. She has completed the ADRIA Arbitration course and serves on the faculty of the National Family Law Arbitration Course. Ostwald has been named one of the Best Lawyers in Canada by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory every year since 2006, including Lawyer of the Year for Family Law Mediation in Calgary in 2015 and for Family Law in Calgary in 2020, and she received a King's Counsel designation in 2020. She has co-chaired the National Family Law Program's organizing committee since 2009 and served as a Dispute Resolution Officer at the Court of King's Bench of Alberta from 2008 to 2023. She co-founded Find the Good, a non-profit that created an online course to help children and teens navigate their parents' separation and divorce.
