Krista is a partner whose practice centers on Aboriginal and treaty rights litigation, human rights and discrimination matters, and advancing Indigenous jurisdiction. She has a particular focus on appellate work and has appeared at every level of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, representing First Nations and Indigenous organizations in cases involving treaty rights, Aboriginal title, and child welfare discrimination. Before joining OKT, she clerked for the Honourable Justice Rosalie Abella at the Supreme Court of Canada. Krista holds a JD with honours from the University of Toronto and an MA in Political Science from McGill University, and she is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of the Northwest Territories. She's also an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she co-teaches a course on rights and reconciliation.
