About Kit

Kit McGuinness is a partner at McKercher LLP's Saskatoon office with a litigation practice emphasizing labour and employment law. He represents employers on labour relations matters, including certification and decertification processes and collective bargaining, as well as human rights and occupational safety issues, and has appeared before courts and administrative tribunals across Canada. He was selected for The Best Lawyers in Canada 2026 for Labour and Employment Law and Municipal Law. Kit earned a Bachelor of Arts honours from Brandon University in 2006, a Master of Science with merit from the London School of Economics in 2007, and a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia's Allard School of Law in 2012, including an exchange at the University of Melbourne.
