About Kiran
Kiran Kang is a partner who works mainly with public sector union clients across Ontario, including groups representing teachers, firefighters, college faculty, and municipal employees. Her practice covers promotion and discipline issues, collective agreement interpretation, workplace privacy, and human rights and accommodation matters, along with bargaining and interest arbitration. She recently served as counsel to the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario in a Supreme Court of Canada decision confirming that public school teachers keep their Charter privacy rights at work. Kiran also delivers anti-harassment and cultural humility training and mentors junior lawyers through groups like GROWL and SABA Toronto. She serves as Treasurer of Halton Community Legal Services and won the Ontario Bar Association's Heather McArthur Memorial Young Lawyers Award in 2023. She studied at the University of Alberta and Osgoode Hall Law School before being called to the Ontario bar in 2016.
