About Kimberly
Kimberly A. Whaley is the Founding Partner of WEL Partners and has practiced in litigation and mediation involving estates, trusts, fiduciary matters, wealth succession, powers of attorney, property gifting, fiduciary accounting, guardianship, dependant support and elder law since 1999, along with the related questions of capacity and undue influence. She's a Certified Specialist in Estates and Trusts Law with the Law Society of Ontario and a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, where she serves on the STEP Worldwide Council as Canada's representative. She's also an International Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is designated a Qualified Arbitrator by the ADR Institute of Canada. Kim has taught as an adjunct professor at Queen's University, the University of Toronto and Western University, and trained in mediation at Harvard. She co-edits the Estates and Trusts Journal published by Carswell, Thomson Reuters Canada.
