About Kim
Kim Liu is an associate at Sutherland Law practising civil and commercial litigation, with particular focus on breach of contract claims, fraud, bankruptcy and insolvency, shareholder disputes, and estates law. Before joining the firm, she articled at a boutique Toronto practice where she built her foundation in civil litigation and wills and estates, and she has also worked in regulatory compliance, privacy law, insurance law, and intellectual property. Kim earned her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2024, where she held roles with the Osgoode Business Law Society, the Entertainment & Sports Law Association, and the IP Innovation Clinic, and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. She holds a BComm (Hons) from Ryerson University and speaks English and Hakka.
