About Kim

Kim Horwood has practiced personal injury law in Newfoundland and Labrador for more than 20 years, alongside civil litigation, criminal law, employment law, residential real estate, and wills and estates matters. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) in Industrial Relations from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2000 and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick in 2003, where she received the William Henry Harrison Memorial Shield for the Moot Court Competition. She was admitted to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in April 2004 and has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador (General and Family Divisions), and the Court of Appeal. Horwood is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Canadian Bar Association, and has served as Chief Adjudicator of the Human Rights Commission Panel of Adjudicators, Chair of the Mental Health Care and Treatment Review Board, and an adjudicator on the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Public Complaints Commission panel.
