About Khaled

Khaled El Fauri founded Fauri Law in Toronto in 2020, a corporate and venture-focused firm where he counsels founders, investors, family offices, and growth-stage companies on matters spanning corporate structuring, financing, governance, and transactions. He holds a JD from the University of Toronto and an LLM from the University of Sussex, is called to the Bar of Ontario, and is also admitted to the Jordan Bar. Before founding the firm, he worked as senior in-house counsel for a publicly listed Canadian telecom company, supporting its proposed C$20 billion merger, and acted as counsel to a Government of Ontario infrastructure agency on the GO Rail Expansion and Transit-Oriented Communities programs. He also advised Ontario's largest credit union and its digital bank on banking compliance and a fintech investment. For more than a decade, Khaled served as General Counsel at major institutions across the UAE and the wider Middle East region, including an Abu Dhabi industrial group, the MENA arm of a European naval and defense company, and an aerospace cluster, leading cross-border M&A, restructuring, and governance work. Through Fauri Law he has advised on equity financings totaling more than CAD $12 million and convertible instruments exceeding CAD $9 million, along with a CAD $7 million corporate reorganization involving a multi-class share redesign for a Canadian technology company. He has studied and worked in Canada, England, Jordan, Lebanon, and the UAE.
