About Kelin
Kelin Algayer is an associate in the Municipal, Planning and Land Development Practice Group, advising both private and public sector clients on land use planning, municipal, development, and expropriation matters. Her work includes appearances before the Ontario Courts, the Ontario Land Tribunal, and other administrative bodies, where she helps clients secure planning approvals, pursue compensation in expropriation cases, and navigate appeals under planning and development legislation. Before joining as a lawyer she worked at the firm as an articling and summer student. Earlier in her career she practised law in Brazil, gaining experience in litigation, environmental, administrative, and public law, and served as a senior associate at an environmental law boutique in Sao Paulo. She holds an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an LL.B. from Universidade de Passo Fundo, and was called to the bar in both Ontario, in 2023, and Brazil, in 2012. She speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
